Who We Are

Trailblaze PT & Performance

Trailblaze PT & Performance was created with one goal in mind – help you participate in the activities you love without restriction or fear of injury. You deserve to live life on your terms. Why should physical therapy be any different? Our goal at Trailblaze PT & Performance is to get you back to doing the things you love, and help you continue those things at your peak level of performance.

We started Trailblaze PT & Performance after spending years in an insurance-based system that dictated care, time, and goals, rather than allowing us to treat the human in front of us. We believe that you are more than your pain, that your unique goals matter, and that you deserve to have a voice in the care you receive. We are here to help.

Who We Are

Meet Dr. Deb Dunn

Hi, I’m Dr. Deb Dunn, the owner of Trailblaze PT & Performance. I’ve spent the majority of my career practicing physical therapy in the Upstate of South Carolina and Western North Carolina, helping people recover from injuries and regain their ability to stay active. I earned my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from UNC Chapel Hill and pursued advanced training, completing a residency in orthopedics to become a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS).

Growing up, I was always active—running and playing competitive soccer shaped my love for movement and sports. Today, I continue to challenge myself physically as a weightlifter, hiker, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu blue belt. These pursuits have brought their fair share of injuries, which deepened my understanding of recovery and strengthened my commitment to helping others return to their favorite activities even stronger.

At Trailblaze PT, I treat the whole person—not just the injury. Using evidence-based practices, I address a wide range of neuromusculoskeletal issues, including acute and chronic spine dysfunction, joint pain, and athletic injuries. I’m certified in trigger point dry needling and have additional training in concussion management, vestibular disorders, and blood flow restriction (BFR).

The most rewarding part of physical therapy is seeing my clients get back to doing what they love. Whether you’re an athlete, weekend warrior, or someone looking to move pain-free, I’m here to guide you on your journey to recovery and peak performance.
